CAMPS FOR 3-5 YEAR OLDS

Cost per camper: $50/members or $55/non members

Laugh and Play with Arthur!

It’s a wonderful day to learn with Arthur! Using art, science, and our imaginations we will go with Arthur and his friends as they explore nature, music, and friendship in their hometown of Elwood City. We will use Arthur’s stories to guide our adventure, and even take a visit to the Arthur’s World exhibit.

Did You Know? Dinosaurs Camp

During the three days of discovery, we will identify different dinosaurs, dig for dino bones, make a dino – themed arts & crafts and much more.

CAMPS FOR 6-8 YEAR OLDS

Campers can sign up for a half day session or both morning and afternoon sessions to make a full day (9 am- 4 pm, campers bring their own lunch and lunch supervision provided.)

Members: $65 half day, $135 full day

Non Members; $70 half day, $145 full day

Arthur and His Friends

Join us as we examine the world with Arthur! Create, read, and explore as we follow Arthur, Buster, D.W. and all their friends through their lives in Elwood City with games, crafts, and even a visit to the Arthur’s World exhibit.

Dates: July 10-14, 9 am-noon

Our Animal Friends

Whether it’s a family pet, a favorite zoo creature or the backyard squirrel, campers will create artwork inspired by our furry (and not so furry) friends in this fun art camp. Draw, paint and sculpt with the Portsmouth Museums!

Location: Portsmouth Art and Cultural Center
Dates: July 10-14, 1-4 pm

Up in the Sky and Beyond

Discover the expansiveness of our universe that can be found by studying the night sky and learning about the celestial objects that exist. We will visit our planetarium, explore constellations, and learn about the compositions of other planets as we delve into the mysteries of our galaxy and beyond.

Building Fun LEGOS camp

Let your imagination run wild with LEGO! Build engineer-designed projects such as boats, bridges, mazes and motorized cars, and use special pieces to create your own unique design. Explore the endless creative possibilities of the LEGO building system.

July 17-21, 1-4 pm

Art Explorers I

Take a trip through Australia – dive into the artwork of Aboriginal artists and cultures using various techniques. We’ll focus of four geographical areas, taking time to learn about the art that comes from each one!

Lyrical Engineers

Explore rhyming patterns and poetic structure, create lyrics and cover art and try your hand at recording in a mobile studio.

Art Explorers II

Emerging Artists examine recent art of the Americas.  Be amazed by the variety of Contemporary American art by painting, sculpting, and drawing.

Dates: June 26-30, 1-4 pm

Help Your Selfie!

Artists have been taking “selfies” for a long time. Even before the invention of cameras and smart phones, artists found ways to create their self image. Campers will create their own selfies using a variety of techniques and mediums – no selfie stick required!

Limitless Possibilities LEGO camp

Power up your engineering skills with LEGO! Apply real – world concepts in physics, engineering, and architecture through engineer – designed projects such as arch bridges, skyscrapers, and motorized cars. Design and build as never before, and explore your craziest ideas in a supportive environment using the LEGO building system.
