Food Lion donated 10,000 meals worth of food to the Norfolk Food Bank. The donation was to help kick off the city’s annual Stamp Out Hunger Food Drive.
Food Lion’s Director of Norfolk Operations, Ben Gould, as well as the Food Lion of SEVA’s CEO Ruth Jones Nichols, spoke at the ceremony on behalf of the food bank. They also thanked the Postal Service for their involvement with the drive.
On Saturday, May 14 you can leave non-perishable food items by your mailbox and postal workers will pick them up along their mail routes and donate them to the Food Bank.
