Summer Concert Series

Suffolk’s TGIF Summer Concert Series is fun and free in local parks. Local bands of all genres come together on Friday evenings starting at 6 p.m. to play a family-friendly concert. Have a swinging Swamp Safari Tour

The Great Dismal Swamp is one of Virginia’s environmental jewels. You’d be remiss if you didn’t experience the beauty of this amazing ecosystem for yourself. Our Hampton Roads libraries offer amazing programs, and the Suffolk Public Library is no exception. Of course they offer resources for test prep, computer work and geneology research, but add to that lots of fun and usually free events for families, kids, teens and adults. Dive into Native American culture at the Nansemond Indian Tribal Pow Wow

Celebrate the rich Native American heritage we have here in Hampton Roads with the Nansemond Indian Tribal Association. Historically the Nansemond tribe was known for fishing, growing corn and bear hunting.
