Chesapeake Celebrates “Eggstravaganza”

There was a lot of “egg”citement in Chesapeake Saturday for the city’s big “Eggstravaganza” held at City Park.

Kids brought baskets and hunted for Easter eggs. Peter Cottontail was even there to meet families and take pictures.
There were even some real bunnies on hand. Many parents said they had a great time at the free event.

“We did a train ride, and we rode a little roller coaster thing,” said Maureen Allison, a local attendee and mother. “We saw some bunnies. We’re about to do an easter egg hunt on the hill.”

Along with all the eggs and bunnies, there was also face painting, bounce houses and pony rides.
