CNU Athletics Plan Enhancements to Facilities

Christopher Newport University has been anxiously awaiting new tennis courts and today Athletic Director Todd Brooks announced plans to upgrade CNU Softball’s Captain’s Park and add a new HD videoboard to POMCO Stadium for the 2015 football season as well.

CNU Tennis is in the process of doubling their courts, nearing the completion of six new outdoor courts and a new lighting system.

Ground broke in January on Captain’s Park and will include new dugouts, more seating, a press box and a grassy area for spectators.

With the announcement, Brooks provided details on a high definition videoboard that will make its debut in POMOCO Stadium for the fall 2015 football season. “Adding a videoboard to POMOCO Stadium will enhance the gameday experience for all of our alumni, parents and fans,” said Brooks.
