Dedication Ceremonies Held for Two New Norfolk Schools

Norfolk school officials celebrated the completion of two brand new schools this week!

A dedication ceremony was held at the new Richard Bowling Elementary at Broad Creek Monday morning.

At the ceremony, NJROTC from Booker T. Washington High School presented the colors, while Richard Bowling Elementary scholars led the Pledge of Allegiance and school pledge for the event.

The new school is one of five built under Norfolk’s new “building the future initiative.”

The city also held a ceremony Tuesday to dedicate one of the other schools, Southside Stem Academy at Campostella, on Tuesday.

The “Building the Future initiative” also includes future construction for Larchmont, Ocean View and Camp Allen elementary schools.
