Every December, the building transforms into a winter wonderland, with this year’s theme being Dreamworks Pictures Rise of the Guardians. 


5 p.m. | The Ghent Market Shops Holiday Party | The Muse Writers Center
Everyone is welcome to enjoy complimentary holiday refreshments at each location, a neighborhood jam session, entertainment, a visit from Back Bay Amateur Astronomers and unique holiday gift ideas.

5:30 p.m. | Winter Zoovies: National Lampoon’s Christmas Vacation | Virginia Zoo
Join the Virginia Zoo for this unique holiday movie night at the Zoo. National Lampoon’s Christmas Vacation will be shown in the Event Pavilion. Heaters will warm the pavilion and chairs will be provided, so bring your friends and a blanket to keep you toasty.

Join us for an exploration into the life of a Zoo Keeper as you investigate the triumphs of caring for some amazing animals. Together we’ll explore the techniques zookeepers use to work with animals and learn about conservation projects the Virginia Zoo is involved with here and around the world.
