Anthem Wicked 10k/Virginia Beach Convention Center
Run for your life!! J&A Racing brings you Hampton Roads’ largest Halloween race and party, the Anthem Wicked 10K and Old Point National Bank Monster Mile presented by Bon Secours In Motion on Saturday, October 31st in Virginia Beach. Participants are encouraged to have fun, be creative, and dress up for the Halloween season. The 10k course takes you along the beautiful Virginia Beach Oceanfront and will feature live Thriller dancers and other spooky surprises. Celebrate your finish at a huge post-race party on the beach with plenty of blue moon beer, live music and post race food.

Join us for our first ever family-friendly Halloween Weekend that includes FREE trick-or-treating (on not one, but two nights!). Costumed interpreters will hand out Mars candy on Duke of Gloucester Street in the Historic Area. Just look for the glowing Jack O ’Lanterns to help you plan your route! Register online and bring your voucher to the Visitor Center to collect your trick-or-treat bag. Our spooky bus will deliver you to the Historic Area where you’ll be greeted by Blackbeard to explain his quest for revenge!

Have a fun time making a Halloween craft, enjoying hot apple cider, showing off your costume and dancing! Program cost is $6.

Stories to give you goosebumps, mad science experiments, creepy crawly critters from Sandy Bottom Nature Park and a spooky sing-along. The stories get really scary after 8 p.m.

The first annual fall festival will include a variety of family oriented activities. We will have Inflatables, hay rides, Games, trunk-or-treat, great food, raffles, lots of vendors, music by a DJ, and so much more! Come out for a great time and support your local Phoebus Little League! FREE
6 p.m.-10 p.m./Masquerade in Ghent/Colley Ave., Norfolk
Show off your Halloween costume at the annual Costume Contest Parade. There will be live music, activities for kids, refreshments and adult beverages. Masquerade in Ghent is free and open to the public. FREE
6:30 p.m.-9 p.m./An Evening at Endview/Endview Plantation, Newport News
Learn about individuals associated with the history of the historic site in a unique after sunset program. The ambiance of the property at night will certainly set the mood for Halloween! Tours are offered every twenty minutes beginning at 7:00, with the last tour leaving at 8:40. Admission is $8.00 per adult, $6.00 per child (ages 6 – 12).

Dress up your entire family, including your pooch, parade around the Center, and compete in costume contests. Entertainment includes: DJ, Thriller Performance*, Magician, Costume Contests and Photo Booth.
Tickets are $5/child & $2/pooch. A portion of total proceeds will benefit a Local Animal Shelter. Adults FREE
11 a.m.-2 p.m./ Dia de Los Muertos & Halloween Celebration/Peninsula Fine Arts Center, Newport News
Our annual Dia de Los Muertos celebration occurs on Halloween this year, so come show off your costume as we learn about the traditional celebration of the Day of the Dead. This year, a Catrina will be on hand to talk about the Mexican traditions, have a demonstration of popotillo (traditional straw painting) by artist Cesar Carbajal and have a dance workshop and performance with Ann Mazzocca, who will explore the Haitian traditions of honoring the dead. A Mile of Smiles face painters will be on hand to create Halloween and Day of the Dead make-up from 11 a.m. to 5 p.m.; face painting will be $5 for adults and $3 for children.
1:30 p.m.-3 p.m./Children’s Halloween Day, Paradise Creek Nature Park, Portsmouth
Foxes and bats and owls, oh my! Join us for a story about the nighttime creatures found in our park, take an adventure through the woods to find where these animals live, then decorate a reusable bag for all your trick or treating goodies. Recommend for children under 12. Children are welcome to wear their costumes. $5 per child; free for Elizabeth River Project Members.
2 p.m.-10 p.m./ 3rd Annual Real Country Halloween FallFest 2015, Langley Speedway, Hampton
All activities will take place in the main Pit area: Meet your local favorite Langley Speedway Nascar drivers and see their cars up close! Costume contest ($100 cash prize). Cornhole tournament. Classic cars. Fun for kids including a bounce house and more! On-site vendors. Food and beverages provided by Skip Cain (No coolers or food permitted to bring into speedway). Tickets are $10; Kids 12 and under are free.
6 p.m./“Halloween” Block Party/Downtown Hampton
Come join us in Downtown Hampton this Halloween for a costume party on Queens Way! Come early and bring a chair then make your way to one of the dining establishments along Queens Way for some dinner before the party starts. Free parking can be found on the street and in multiple surface lots. There is a public parking garage at the corner of Settlers Landing Road & Old Hampton Lane. This Downtown Hampton street event will include Prizes for Best Costume and Best Pet Costume, music by a DJ, cold refreshments and plenty of activities for the young and old. FREE
7 p.m.-10 p.m./Zombie Prom/Hunt Club Farm, Virginia Beach
Come dressed as a zombie! This event may sell out, so get your tickets early! $25 admission fee.
