One of Hampton’s most treasured historic assets, the Hampton Carousel, is reopening for delighted kids, and adults, for the 2017 Spring season on Saturday, April 1.
The Carousel was built in 1920 and has been restored to its original beauty and housed in its own pavilion on the Hampton downtown waterfront.
It is one of only about 100 antique wooden merry-go-rounds still existing in the U.S. and is a true landmark and gem to Hampton Roads. The carousel will close for the winter in January 2018, and reopen in the spring.
The Hampton Carousel is located at 602 Settlers Landing Rd. and is open Tuesday – Sunday, 11:00 a.m. – 8:00 p.m. and closed on Mondays. Rider fees are $1.00 per ride.
Tickets on sale at the Hampton History Museum and at the Hampton Carousel.
