The annual Hampton Jazz Festival presents the opportunity for us to marvel and appreciate the many visitors who journey here to enjoy American music at its best. An outdoor, non-alcoholic, family-oriented event that features nonstop entertainment and a marketplace with vendors displaying & selling art, crafts, and food. FREE


Friday, June 26-Sunday, June 28/Norfolk Tides/Harbor Park
The Tide is in this weekend! Head to Harbor Park and watch them take on the Toledo Mud Hens. On Friday, the first 3,000 fans entering Harbor Park will receive a pair of Tides flip flops courtesy of John’s Tax Service. Saturday is Star Wars night and Sunday the first 4,000 fans entering Harbor Park will receive a collectable photo of a Tides player courtesy of Johnny Rockets and ESPN Radio 94.1 FM. GO TIDES! For two days, Virginia Beach celebrates the sights and sounds of the Latin experience. Hardee’s Latin Fest displays the key ingredients of good food, family participation, and first-rate Latin music. FREE

The Governor’s School for the Arts Jazz Band will be performing in the Center every Friday from 5-7pm beginning April 24th and continuing through August 28th. FREE

Join us to instill pride, celebrate unity and embrace diversity in the Hampton Roads Lesbian, Gay, Bisexual and Transgender (LGBT) community by creating visibility and promoting full human and civil rights through education, celebration, and networking. FREE


7:00 p.m./Dancing with the Stars Live/nTelos Wireless Pavilion
Following a sold-out winter tour and the 10th Anniversary Season of ABC’s hit show Dancing with the StarsDancing with the Stars: Live! is going back on the road giving fans the opportunity to see their favorite stars dance live in their hometowns, visiting over 40 cities across America.  Hosted by Dancing with the Stars All-Stars champion Melissa Rycroft, the ‘Perfect Ten Tour’ is bringing a one-of-a-kind touring production to nTelos Wireless Pavilion. Overnight starting 5:00 p.m./Suffolk Parks Hosts Great American Backyard Campout/Sleepy Hole Park
The Great American Backyard Campout happens the fourth Saturday of June in participation with Great Outdoors Month. Organizers will offer camping demonstrations, storytelling, hikes and other fun activities. The program is for ages 6 and up. Participants need to bring their own tents. Registration fee is $10 per tent.

8:00 p.m./Big Screen Saturday: Turbo/Virginia Aquarium
A freak accident might just help an everyday garden snail achieve his biggest dream: winning the Indy 500. Ideal for date nights or family outings, Big Screen Saturday movies are free for Virginia Aquarium members in the month of June and cost $5 for non-members.
