Hampton Deputies Volunteer for Children’s Safety

Hundreds of people were in attendance for the Hampton Sheriff’s Office 14th Annual Child Identification Festival at Carousel Park in Hampton.

55 Sheriff Deputies volunteered their afternoon to promote child safety and to celebrate a day filled with fun events, games, music and dance.

200 children were fingerprinted and photographed as Deputies manned several stations where children jumped and played games while snacking on snow cones, popcorn and cotton candy, all compliments of the Sheriff’s Office.

Theme characters roamed the scenic park as Sheriff Cruisers delivered the sounds of safety with sirens and flashing blue lights. Bubbles the Clown provided games and dances throughout the day all with a message of safety.
