Norfolk is getting a new library and you can be part of the construction process. Don’t worry, there is no heavy lifting involved; all you need is a pen.
The city is inviting community members to sign their names on a construction beam that will be part of the new Broad Creek Anchor Branch Library.
If you want to leave your mark, the brief signing ceremony is happening Wednesday, March 29 at 11 a.m. at the construction site, which is right next to Richard Bowling Elementary School.
hrScene was there in September when city leaders broke ground on what will soon be a 28,000 square foot library. It is expected to open by the end of the year.
