Lovebirds Leave the Workforce and Return to the Nest

Husband and wife of 37 years, Chris and Christine Stewart, are retiring together after nearly 30 years of dedicated service to the City of Portsmouth.

Christine will be retiring as the City’s Zoning Administrator in the Department of Planning after working there for 30 years and nine months.

Her husband, Chris, is retiring as the Water Distribution Supervisor in the Department of Public Utilities and has been working with the city for 29 years and seven months.

Their official joint-retirement date is March 31.

The City of Portsmouth said via press release they expresses their gratitude and wish them well on their next adventure together, retirement.
