Whether you’ve got your own ride, one of Norfolk’s new PACE bikes, or a tandem for two, you can join up other bicyclists this May in celebration of Norfolk Bike Month.
Events are planned all month long, starting with First Friday on May 4 and capping off with a bike ride on May 31 to Harbor Park to watch the Tides!
Don’t have your own bike? Norfolk just recently launched its PACE bike share program, which lets you rent a bike through an app on your phone. You can use the app to find bikes scattered across the city and then leave the bike anywhere when you’re finished.
And you don’t have to attend an event to have fun during Bike Month! The 10.5-mile Elizabeth River Trail stretching across the Elizabeth River waterfront from Norfolk State University to Naval Station Norfolk is always open to explore at your own leisure.
