ODU Breaks Ground On New Art Museum

Old Dominion University has broken ground on a new art museum.

The school received a $35 million donation to build the museum from Richard and Carolyn Barry — the largest gift the school has received in its history.

According to a tweet from the school, the Barry Art Museum is scheduled to open in the fall of 2018, and will feature galleries and programs.

Del. Chris Jones and Norfolk Mayor Kenny Alexander joined ODU President John R. Broderick Tuesday morning for a groundbreaking ceremony.
