Norfolk Offering Free Back-to-School Immunizations

Last year 900 Norfolk students didn’t start the school year on time because they weren’t up to date on their shots.

This year the Norfolk Health Department is offering free back to school immunizations for kindergartners and rising sixth graders.

The clinics are offered daily at the Norfolk Department of Public Health on Southampton Avenue from 1 till 4 p.m. and at the Little Creek Multi-Service Center on East Little Creek Road from 8:30 a.m. till 10:30 a.m. and from 1 p.m. till 3:30 p.m.

The Little Creek facility will also offer a Saturday clinic on August 29 from 10 a.m. until 2 p.m. You need to bring a valid photo ID, your child’s immunization record and an insurance card.

For more information on back to school immunizations, please call the Norfolk Department of Public Health at (757) 355-5666.
