NSU Theatre Company’s production of “The Brothers Size” has been chosen as an official selection of the National Black Theatre Festival, the largest festival for African-American theater in the U.S.
Hundreds of organizations submit for only 30 spots, and Norfolk State University is one of only two universities in the country to snag a spot among an international lineup including productions from South Africa, South America, and England.
Over 60,000 people attend the festival! It begins August 3 in Winston-Salem, North Carolina.
“The Brothers Size” follows the recently paroled Oshoosi Size as he seeks to jump-start his life in the Louisiana bayou. Ending up working in his brother Ogun’s repair shop was not exactly what he had in mind, so when his old friend Elegba shows up, offering a different “direction”, Oshoosi quickly finds himself torn between his brother, his loyalties, and his dreams.
