A unique- and spectacular- combination of art, animals, and adult beverages converges this Thursday on the Virginia Zoo for Brew at the Zoo (and Vino, too!)
If you’re a fan of the Cultural Alliance of Hampton Roads, you’ve probably been to previous “June Jazz” fundraisers. This year, their one and only annual fund raiser is getting a fresh new look. Local well-known artist Clayton Singleton will auction off his work and even be painting live! In an effort to further embrace the community, the event will also feature local breweries Smartmouth, O’Connor, Young Veterans, and St. George.
“This is our first foray into the BREW events,” says Joan L. Rhodes-Copeland, Executive Director of the Cultural Alliance of Greater Hampton Roads. “We wanted to feature some of the local breweries in this area who have been very supportive of the arts and arts organizations.”
The Cultural Alliance is also featuring local musicians The Commodores and Mountainside.
The ticket price of $35 includes food, entertainment, one drink, free sodas and water. Additional drinks can be purchased at the cash bar. Tickets can be ordered at www.culturalli.org or you can send in a check to 420 N. Center Drive, Ste. 239-B, Norfolk, VA 23502, or call the office: 757-961-4002.
