A local advertising business is receiving PETA‘s Compassionate Business Award for their new campaign that focuses of the dangers of leaving your dog in a hot car.
Adams Outdoor Advertising of Norfolk is running 15 local billboards with the message, “Never Leave Your Pet in a Hot Car. ‘Just a Minute’ Is Too Long.”
PETA says this PSA is will help protect vulnerable lives from death by heatstroke this summer.
“Every year, PETA receives reports of dozens of dogs and other animals who have baked to death after being left in a parked car,” said PETA Vice President Colleen O’Brien in a press release. “Adams Outdoor Advertising has taken lifesaving action by creating a crucial reminder never to lock anyone inside a hot car.”
Adams Outdoor Advertising will receive an award letter, framed certificate and some vegan cookies courtesy of PETA for their efforts.
