Oliver Davis, Jr. told his wife he wasn’t going to play the lottery anymore and yet here he is, a winner of $4 million from a Virginia Lottery scratcher.
Davis bought the ticket from the Dollar Delites store in Suffolk and returned there on March 23 to receive his prize. The store also got $10,ooo for selling the winning ticket.
“I broke a promise, but I think she’ll forgive me this time,” Davis said about telling his wife he had played the lottery again.
He doesn’t know what he’ll do with his winnings just yet, but for now he’s said he is going to take care of his family.
