Sentara Leigh Hospital in Norfolk has been going through renovations for eight years, but the finish line is in sight.
At 7:30 a.m. on Wednesday, March 23rd the new atrium lobby will open with a ribbon cutting and a celebration with coffee and cake at the hospital, which is located right near the 64/264 interchange in Norfolk.
The new lobby area includes central registration, a pharmacy and gift shop, coffee nook, education and meeting rooms, a soothing water feature, potted trees, comfortable seating and a grand piano offering live performances and relaxing, computer-driven music. Fountains and a modern sculpture on the plaza outside compliment tables and chairs for outdoor seating.
Hopefully you’ll never need to visit the hospital for health or emergency reasons, but if you do, this lobby upgrade will be a nice environment. Recently, Sentara Leigh Hospital has also upgraded parking decks, ER and surgical suites, and patient wings to allow for more and better care.
