Participants in Norfolk’s annual Masquerade in Ghent go all out! It takes a lot of time and effort to stand out in the packed crowd.
It’s a time when creativity trumps all else.
From the intricate…
“I think we started Halloween in August.”
To the simplistic…
“I’m dressed up as myself.”
Costume-making can be a full-time gig. But it’s worth it.
“I think it’s a great opportunity for kids to get out with their families and dress up and get away from the norm.”
So many ideas, all so different from each other.
But there is one thing they all agree on… “You can kind of do what you want. There’s no wrong way to do Halloween.”
This year’s event was held Friday, October 28.
