This Weekend: Virginia Arts Festival Fringe Fest

The Virginia Arts Festival has already blown us away with their amazing line up of incredible fun and talent in Hampton Roads, and this weekend’s Fringe Festival has something for everyone! Whether you’re looking for a fun night with your friends or something to do with your kids, there’s something on the calendar for you this weekend. Let’s break it down!

For friends:

Dot Maze: Get lost!
Work with your pals and have a blast winding through a 50-foot square hedge maze! There will be surprises behind every turn and you’re bound to have a lot of fun. Best of all, this event is FREE and open to the public! It’s this weekend, Thursday April 28th-Sunday, May 1. Thursday and Friday, the maze is open from 6 – 7:30 p.m. and Saturday and Sunday the hours are 2:30-4pm; 4:30  -5:30 p.m. and  6 – 7:30 p.m. outside the Harrison Opera House

For a girls’ night:

Hot Sardines
Throw caution to the wind and kick up your heels with your best girlfriends! You can’t listen to the Hot Sardines without dancing. It’s a perfect night out with the ladies. It’s happening on Thursday, April 28th at the Plot in the NEON district of Norfolk.

For couples:

Your Love, Our Musical
Your love story is one for the ages, and now you can share it with everyone!  Your Love, Our Musical features Rebecca and Evan interviewing a real couple in the audience for details on how they met and fell in love. Moments later they use those details to create a completely improvised musical about the couple’s love story! It’s happening at the Push Comedy Theater on Granby on Friday, April 29th. There will be two shows, one at 7 p.m. and one at 9 p.m.

For kids:

Help Save the Monkey
8-year-old Howard and 80-year-old Lillian must race to the ocean to save Lillian’s pet monkey when he lands from space! It’s only $5, and the kids can do crafts after the show. Click here to buy tickets! Show times are Saturday, April 30th and Sunday, May 1 at 10 a.m. and 2 p.m.
