Thousands of runners from around the country came to the Virginia Beach Oceanfront for The Rock ‘n’ Roll Half Marathon.
The race started at 7 a.m. at the Virginia Beach Convention Center on 19th Street, going 13.1 miles, ending at the boardwalk.
Saturday’s races were canceled because of Tropical Storm Hermine. Though the center of Hermine was well offshore, strong winds stretch out far from the storm’s center making for a challenging race.
Participants came from all over the country to run in the event. You can view full results here.
