Big Changes for Virginia Beach Recyclers

The City of Virginia Beach has announced changes in their recycling program that should make it easier for you to keep it green!

Virginia Beach Public Works Waste Management says that plastic bottles (#1-7) as well as food and beverage cartons are now being accepted in curbside containers and at all drop-off centers.

For plastics, check for the number on the bottom of the bottle. If that number is between a one and a seven, then simply toss it in your recycle cart. For cartons, all food and beverage cartons can be recycled. This includes empty cartons of milk, juice, soy, soup, broth, egg substitutes, cream, and wine.
