In what is regarded as the Navy’s largest open house in North America, the 2016 NAS Oceana Air Show will go down this weekend at Naval Air Station Oceana. The three-day events draws more than 280,000 visitors from 25 states and 12 countries.
This year, the NAS Oceana Air Show has forged a ground-breaking partnership with the Virginia Beach City Public School System to create a one-of-a-kind “Outdoor STEM Laboratory” on an unprecedented scale.
The flight line will be packed with static displays, food & novelty vendors and plenty of other things for the whole family to enjoy the entire day. Gates open Saturday at 8 a.m. and flying will start at approximately 10:30 a.m. The Blue Angels perform at 3 p.m.
Saturday evening the Beach Blast free concert at the 31st Street Stage will start at 6:30 p.m. with the United States Fleet Forces Band, Four Star Edition playing the latest hits.
