Teachers do so much for us and our community, so why not show them some appreciation?

Now through May 11, you can easily send a special teacher (or teachers) in your life a ‘thank you’ note with the help of the Virginia Lottery’s Thank-A-Teacher campaign for National Teacher Appreciation Week.

To send them an electronic ‘thank you’ note, all you have to do is go to the Virginia Lottery’s Thank-A-Teacher website and fill out the form to send the teacher you have in mind the special note. Don’t forget to have their email address on hand!

Hard copy ‘thank you’ notes can be found at several locations around the state. A full list of those locations can be found on their website.

The best part is, every teacher you sign up to receive a ‘thank you’ note will also have the opportunity to win one of the amazing vacations in the state of Virginia planned in partnership with the Virginia Tourism Corporation, a train traveling experience with Amtrak or a $500 cash card!

Teachers who receive ‘thank you’ notes can sign up for a chance to win on the Virginia Lottery’s Thank-A-Teacher website.

This year’s Thank-A-Teacher campaign is extra special because one of three students whose artwork was chosen to go on these ‘thank you’ notes was from right here in Hampton Roads.
