Friday – Sunday | S.T.E.A.M. Women’s Conference 2016 | Refuge Nation Church
The conference will take place on November 11-13 and it will be three days filled with powerful women speakers, inspiration, and great fellowship Our guest speakers for this event will be Dr. Karen Annette Stanley of Bethea of Baltimore, MD, Co-Pastor Jacque White of Charolette, NC, and Refuge Nation’s own Minister NaKeyia Wiggins.

Saturday – Sunday | WWII Veterans of Hampton Roads Video Documentary | Virginia War Museum
A Video Documentary by Mitchell Woods, Boy Scout Troop 31, Fort Monroe, VA, featuring highlights of interviews with more than 30 WWII Veterans from our area.

Friday & Sunday | The Barber of Seville | Harrison Opera House
Virginia Opera presents: The Barber of Seville-Rossini’s comedic masterpiece! Starring Will Liverman, Virginia Beach native and alumnus of The Governor’s School for the Arts as FIGARO-the cunning and mischievous Barber who helps a young woman escape from the hands of her guardian into the arms of an honorable suitor.

Enjoy this outdoor festival filled with food trucks, craft beer, wine and fun! There will be live music and fireworks to end the evening.

8am | FM99’s Christmas Wish 5k & Children’s Run | Virginia Beach Oceanfront Boardwalk
This race has a little something for everyone with a competitive 5K race and 5K walking category. All 5K runners receive a finisher medal, race T-shirt, post race refreshments at Buffalo Wild Wings and festive post race awards ceremony. The kid’s mile will start at 9:45 at 31st Street Park, proceed south on the boardwalk to 23rd St and return. There will be special finisher awards for all kids completing the race. All kids receive a finish time and finisher medal.

This benefit is to support Heather Phillips Dennis and her family.  They lost their home during Hurricane Matthew & Heather suffered a stroke shortly after.  All proceeds from this event will go directly to Heather & her family. Come out & have a wonderful time while also supporting a great cause!

2pm – 4pm | Hampton Roads Metro Band presents: “Veterans Day Concert” | Nauticus
HRMB is an all-volunteer, non-profit symphonic concert band that is comprised of musicians from 16 to 86 years old. Founded in 1930 as the Norfolk Fire Division Band, HRMB is the oldest continuously performing community concert band in Tidewater.

12pm & 3pm | “Dinosaur! A New Play” | The Barry Robinson Theater and Fine Arts Center
Join the fun and you and your family can experience a truly unique and entertaining performance- for only $5 a ticket! This show lasts about 45 minutes and is great for all ages. There are two chances to catch a performance, at 12pm or 3pm.
