This weekend, the MOCA’s 61st Annual Boardwalk Art Show is bringing art and culture to the Oceanfront.

And remember that this week is Pridefest! Several of our cities are celebrating with great events. Click here for a list of happenings and get involved and have some fun!

June 19th is the annual celebration of Juneteenth, or a commemoration of the ending of slavery in the United States. There are several celebrations in the area. Click here for more information!

Thursday-Sunday | MOCA’s 61st Annual Boardwalk Art Show | Boardwalk
MOCA’s annual Boardwalk Art Show presented by PNC brings fine artists from around the country to share their talents with show visitors. This four-day festival attracts collectors and artists from across the nation to celebrate fine art. Spend your day cruising the boardwalk and looking at work from over 300 different artists. Take a break from the sun in our VIP beach club catered by Steinhilbers. Bring the whole family to 31st street park on Saturday for ART fun at our familyfest and then relax in the evenings at the 24th street beer garden with live music, local craft beer, wine, and games. There is something for everyone at Virginia Beach’s longest running event. Come out and celebrate our 61st year on the Boardwalk.

Several classes of sailboats race up and down the Elizabeth River, but the race is not just for professionals.  Casual boaters hit the waterway, too.   The race kicks off with concerts and food on Friday night and ends Saturday with an awards ceremony and more live music.

The popular festival, with its “Love Unites” theme, will host two international headliners, pop sensation Betty Who and country singer Billy Gilman. Military music, family fun and LGBTQ history activities, the nation’s only Pride Boat Parade and other events will fill the day in Norfolk’s Town Point Park.
