Hampton Roads Veterans Day Deals and Freebies 2017

Veterans Day is the day we all honor those who served our country and remember those who made the ultimate sacrifice.

Businesses and restaurants around the area are showing their respect by offering freebies and deals to active duty, retired military and veterans.

Many require you to bring your military ID or proof of service.

Tuesday, November 7

Chipotle: All military personel, retired or active will be hooked up with a buy one/get on free burrito, bowl, salad or order of tacos as a small (foil-wrapped) token of thanks for your service.

Thursday, November 9

Gordon Biersch: A veterans and active military personnel dedicated event with live music, passed appetizers, a silent auction and 50/50 raffle.

Friday, November 10

Denny’s: Active, inactive and retired military personnel get a free breakfast

IHOP: Veterans and active duty military receive free Red, White and Blue pancakes from 7 a.m. to 7 p.m.

Saturday, November 11

Applebee’s Neighborhood Grill & Bar — Free meal from special menu

Bob Evans: Veterans and active duty military personnel have a fresh, hearty free Veterans Day meal coming their way, thanks to Bob Evans Restaurants.

Boston Market: All active duty or retired military personnel and their families can receive one free meal with the purchase of a meal and a drink.

California Pizza Kitchen: Veterans and active military receive a free entree from a special menu.

Chili’s: Veterans and active military service members get a free meal from a limited menu.

Hooters: All veterans can enjoy a free entree from the Hooters Veterans Day Menu by presenting a military ID or proof of service at any Hooters location nationwide.

McDonald’s: Veterans and active duty members with their military ID can enjoy a free biscuit or McMuffin breakfast sandwich on Nov. 11. No purchase necessary.

Red Lobster: Free app or dessert with proof of service.

Red Robin: Free Tavern Double burger with Bottomless Steak Fries with no purchase necessary for all veterans and active duty military.

Ruby Tuesday: Veterans, active duty and reserve service members get a free appetizer on Nov. 11.

Shoney’sFree All You Can Eat breakfast bar from 6 a.m. – 11 a.m.

Sheetz: Veterans and active duty military personnel get a free 6 inch turkey sub, regular size fountain drink  at all Sheetz locations.

Texas Roadhouse: Offering free lunch to veterans and active duty military. There are 10 entrees to choose from, and it includes a non-alcoholic drink.

TGIFridays: TGI Fridays is celebrating Veterans Day on November 11, 2017 by offering all veterans and active military a free lunch menu item up to $12 at participating locations.

Monday, November 13 Only

Captain George’s Seafood Restaurant (all locations): Free buffet Monday, November 13 from 4 p.m. until 9 p.m. for active duty or retired. Must have Military ID, no exceptions. Does not include spouses.

Golden Corral: Free meal on Nov. 13 from 5 to 9 p.m.

Businesses, Services and Museums

Bed Bath and Beyond: Veterans, active duty, Reserves, Guard and spouses get 25% off their entire purchase.

Brooks Brothers: Active duty military and veterans get 25% off in-store purchases.

Colonial Williamsburg: Military families can receive a free Colonial Williamsburg admission ticket, Friday, November 11 through Monday, November 14 during their Honoring Service to America weekend.

Dollar General: Active duty service members, veterans and their families get an 11% discount on qualifying purchases.

Great Clips: Customers who come in for a service can get a free haircut card to give to their favorite veteran. Veterans can also receive a free haircut or get the free haircut card. Haircuts are redeemable until Dec. 31.

Mariner’s Museum: Free admission to Active Duty and Retired Military, Veterans, and their families. Free admission is offered to all military and up to four of their immediate family members on Friday, November 11 with valid military ID.

Nauticus: Free admission to all veterans.

Sports Clips: Many Sport Clips locations will offer free haircuts to active duty U.S. service members and veterans.
