Military Minute: Salute to Airman 1st Class Seth Morgan and Staff Sgt. Stanley Nelson of the USAF

Hampton Roads is a military community and we love our men and women in uniform. Each week we like to highlight our service men and women who go above and beyond their daily work.  In This week’s military minute we salute Airman 1st Class Seth Morgan and Staff Sgt. Stanley Nelson of the United States Air Force.

Sgt. Nelson joined the Air Force in 2008. He has been assigned to Langley Air Force Base for 3.5 years. He is a dedicated crew chief on the F-22 Raptor, assigned to the 1st Fighter Wing’s 94th Aircraft Maintenance Unit – the famous “Hat in the Ring” unit.  As a dedicated crew chief, Sgt. Nelson is responsible for all aircraft maintenance actions on the highly advanced $152 million dollar weapon system.  He is responsible for launching, recovering, inspecting, and servicing America’s 5th generation fighter aircraft in support of local training and combat missions at deployed locations.

As for Airman 1st Class Seth Morgan, he is an airfield systems technician who avidly supports the community by volunteering with Meals on Wheels and the Center for Child and Family Services. Although he is new to the Air Force, Morgan is showing to be a model Airman and a pillar in the community.

We salute you both for your service and thank you for being pillars of the Hampton Roads community!
