The Seawall Music Festival is happening just on the other side of the water in Portsmouth, the Revolutionary Beer Fest 2016 is serving the suds in Chesapeake, and educate your kiddos and have some silly fun at SpongeBob Squarepants Tours the Chesapeake Bay in Hampton.

Friday-Saturday | Khedive Shrine Annual Rodeo 2016 | Khedive Temple Greenbrier
The Khedive Shrine will host the annual “Professional Shrine Rodeo” June 10 and 11 at the Khedive Shrine Center. The Rodeo is a Professional Championship Rodeo sanctioned by the Southern Rodeo Association. There will be calf roping, bucking horses, barrel racing, bull riding, and the Rodeo Clowns. There will be a special area for the children to play along with plenty of food and your favorite beverage. Tickets are on sale at the Khedive Shrine Center.

For three memorable days, the historic waterfront festival offers a weekend packed with thrilling activities on land and sea to inlcude tall ships and the Parade of Sail, artisan foods and beverages, work boat races, unique and unusual performances, one of the largest fireworks shows on the East Coast, family games and activities, national and regional entertainment, and much more.

1964 the Tribute is a Beatles’ tribute band that was formed in 1984. It has performed more than 2,900 shows and released its own albums and videos. Rolling Stone magazine has called 1964 “the best Beatles tribute ever.”

This annual festival celebrates the music careers of local legends Norman, Willie, & Earl Phelps. They have starred on stage, screen, radio, television, and recording throughout their careers. We will have musical instruments and a pictorial history on display for your enjoyment. Musical guest will be announced at a later date.

4:30 p.m.-6:30 p.m. | One Love Caribbean Steel Drum Band | Elizabeth River Park
Enjoy the island rhythms of the “One Love Caribbean Steel Drum Band” by the riverfront at Elizabeth River Park. What originated on the Caribbean Island of Trinidad sometime in the 1940s out of necessity and experimentation, the steel drum has become a well know instrument of island music and good times. The band came to Virginia from Trinidad and Tobago in 1994. Since then they have been playing their sweet mix of calypso, reggae and island music throughout Hampton Roads and the East Coast.

Twenty One Pilots is an American musical duo that originates from Columbus, Ohio. The band was formed in 2009 and consists of Tyler Joseph and Josh Dun. They put out two self-released albums, Twenty One Pilots in 2009 and Regional at Best in 2011, before being signed by Fueled by Ramen in 2012. They released their signed debut, Vessel, with Fueled by Ramen in 2013. Their second signed album, Blurryface, was released on May 15, 2015 through the same label.
