Girls in grades two through 12 are invited to spend the day taking part in hands-on engineering, chemistry, biology and physical science activities. All workshops are led by Norfolk State University faculty and students.

The annual event, hosted by Norfolk’s Department of Recreation, Parks & Open Space (RPOS) will include carnival games, bounce houses, music, a 24-foot slide, and pony rides. New to this year’s list is a rock wall, selfie station, and petting zoo. Complimentary popcorn, cotton candy, and snow cones are provided to each attendee, and lunch items are available to purchase.

The Neighborhood Expo will feature about 50 exhibitors, demonstrations and performances. Entertainment includes a dunk tank, music and dance performances.
