Nothing says summer like a lemonade stand! This year, you could make that summer tradition mean something more.

Anthem LemonAid is a week-long, statewide fundraiser, created by Anthem Blue Cross and Blue Shield, to raise money for the Children’s Hospital of the King’s Daughters (CHKD) and the Children’s Hospital of Richmond at VCU.

You can stir a cure for childhood cancer…just sign up to have your own lemonade stand and raise money! In Hampton Roads, you can have your lemonade stand between July 20 and July 22.

Once your register your lemonade stand, Anthem LemonAid will send you a kit to help set up your stand. The kit includes lemonade mix, a pitcher, cups, a decorative banner and special sunglasses.

All the proceeds will go towards CHKD. Last year, 915 lemonade stands were held in 35 different cities across Hampton Roads and online, raising $120,000 for the kids at CHKD, according to their website.
