Volunteer Spotlight: Virginia Beach SPCA

The thaw has finally happened and the long days of spring and summer are sneaking up. Now is a great time to think about volunteering, and there are few worthier organizations than the VBSPCA.

I went to the Virginia Beach SPCA to chat with Volunteer Coordinator Amanda Dunlap, and maybe cuddle a few kitties and puppies. She told me about some amazing volunteer opportunities for people of all ages, but particularly great jobs for kids and teens.

From cleaning cages and bowls to just playing with fuzzy friends up for adoption, there’s a volunteer opportunity for everyone.

Visit VBSPCA.com for more details, or if you’re ready to reach out for volunteer opportunities, email Amanda directly at volunteer@vbspca.com. And don’t forget, this weekend on Saturday, April 9th the VBSPCA is holding their annual Western Wags and Whiskers gala.
