If you’re in need of a new book this Spring, how about reading (or rereading) Ray Bradbury’s Classic novel Fahrenheit 451? We promise there will be plenty of people to talk to about the novel.
Today kicks off the start of “7 Cities, 1 Book,” a literary collaborative between the public libraries of Chesapeake, Hampton, Newport News, Norfolk, Portsmouth, Suffolk and Virginia Beach and the Suffolk Art League.
The goal of 7 Cities, 1 Book is to promote the value of reading and to build a sense of community by engaging the residents of Hampton Roads in talking about the same book at the same time.
From April 13 – May 18, there will be a variety of programs offered by each organization related to the novel such as book discussions, movies, art exhibits, panel discussions and more.
