Cancer Patient Running in the Shamrock Marathon

75-year-old Don Wright is currently undergoing treatment for cancer, but he is not letting that get in the way of his goal of running 100 marathons.

Wright began running marathons 13 years ago. Right around the same time, he felt a backache that would later be diagnosed as Multiple Myeloma, a cancer of cells in the bone marrow.

Wright will be in Virginia Beach on Sunday for the Shamrock Marathon, which will be his 93rd race since those first pains of cancer.

Wright is well past the five-year prognosis that was the expected survival when he was diagnosed.
