Color the Fields at Norfolk Collegiate School

Norfolk Collegiate School is upgrading their athletic complex and they’re saying goodbye to their old grass fields with style. And lots of color!

The school is undergoing a $2.6 million Turf Fields and Lights Capital Campaign. Before the new fields are installed, the existing fields will have to be removed.  The turf fields and lights will make Norfolk Collegiate the first K-12 school in the greater Hampton Roads region with two side-by-side, competition-size turf fields with lights.

To celebrate the impending installation of the turf fields, Norfolk Collegiate will be saying farewell to the existing grass fields on Friday, May 15 from 3:30 to 4:30 p.m. with Color Collegiate: Farewell to the Fields.

Think of it as a color run atmosphere. As Collegiate students and their families complete activities from each station and move to the next, faculty and staff will be covering them in colored powder. Following the activities, Collegiate will have a cookout with hot dogs, hamburgers, chips and drinks to end the festivities.

What a fun way for the Norfolk Collegiate community to usher in a new era and have some fun at the end of the school year!
