The First Lady of Virginia will be at First Landing State Park on Aug. 1 to dedicate the first car charging stations at a Virginia state park…that’s a lot of “firsts.”

Tesla Automotive’s Destination Charging Program is providing two Tesla brand 80-amp chargers and one universal 40-amp charging station to be installed at First Landing State Park.

First Lady of Virginia Pam Northam will dedicate the car charging station during a special ceremony from 1 p.m. to 2 p.m. at the park. This will be at their bayside entrance off of Shore Drive.

If this installation is successful, Tesla plans to build additional car charging stations in some of the other state parks of Virginia.
