FREE Stargazing (Even if it rains!)

If you need a fun, educational evening for the kids or maybe a unique date night, look no further. The Chesapeake Public Schools Planetarium has free public star shows on Thursday nights. According to their website, these educational programs are, “designed to give the individual a general overview of astronomy.” The theme changes every month.

April kicks off “The Stars of Spring” which showcases the brilliant constellations of the season and illustrates the seasonal changes like you won’t see in science class. Read more about the monthly programs here.

Reservations are required. Secure your spot by calling Chesapeake Public Schools between 8:00 a.m. and 4:00 p.m. weekdays at 757-547-0153.
