I don’t consider myself an aviation enthusiast, nor have I ever served in the military, but I was still blown away and delighted by the sights and sounds at the Military Aviation Museum in the Pungo area of Virginia Beach.
The planes are spectacular. The guides and volunteers, with their knowledge and clear passion, are information machines. And if you get the opportunity to go up in one of these amazing planes yourself… all I can say is that it was one of the most amazing experiences I’ve ever had. Watch the video below for some of the amazing views of Virginia Beach as offered by an open cockpit vintage plane!
The good news is that you can get to experience it yourself! Warbirds Over the Beach is happening at the Military Aviation Museum in just a few weeks, May 20-22. It’s a weekend full of events for the whole family, including airplane rides, demonstrations, and even a 1940’s Hangar Dance. It’ll be a total blast!
