Saturday, August 22-Sunday, August 23/Seawall Art Show/Portsmouth Waterfront
With more than 30 years experience showcasing juried fine arts and fine crafts on the Portsmouth waterfront, the Seawall Art Show draws large crowds of art buyers to this prestigious event. With the assistance of the Portsmouth Museum and Fine Arts Commission, it is an all volunteer run show. Show proceeds always go to support the arts in Portsmouth.
All Day/East Coast Surfing Championships/Oceanfront
The Coastal Edge East Coast Surfing Championships is a major professional and amateur event for the Eastern Surfing Association (ESA). Each year, several hundred surfers from menehunes to masters compete for East Coast surfing titles, prizes, history and the sheer love of surfing. Other beach oriented sports and recreation include volleyball, a boardwalk 5K run, street skate and ramp contests, swimsuit contests, food and drink concessions, and live music on the beach.
