It’s that time of year! RIVERFest, a non-profit program hosted by the Elizabeth River Project, is back! The goal is to grab the attention of local communities and pull them into their own backyards!
In honor of dedicating a day to a specific location, the program brings in food, drink and live music to entertain the public. In trade, you will learn the delicate balance of the ecosystem and the rivers history.
This year in Chesapeake, RIVERFest will dive into the depths of why the health of the Elizabeth River is deteriorating and what you can do to make it right!
They strive to create excitement, understanding, and community involvement in the restoration of the environmental health of the Elizabeth River. So bring your friends, family and Fido to this dog friendly event.
