Lead singer Darius Rucker told the TODAY Show Monday morning they are writing songs for a new album.

Next year will also mark the 25th anniversary of the group’s popular album “Cracked Rear View” — which featured the hit songs “Hold My Hand,” “Let Her Cry” and “Only Wanna Be With You.” They haven’t released new music as a band since 2005’s “Looking for Lucky.”
