Local Police Help Kids Beat the Heat

Portsmouth Police spent an afternoon helping kids beat the heat this summer!

Officers handed out popsicles to the kids in their community this past Friday. Police Chief Tonya Chapman made the decision to purchase and hand out the frozen treats.

Officers were out at London Oaks passing out the treats to the kids in the neighborhood. Portsmouth Police say they wanted to use this as a time to be out in the community and connect with the children who live there.
