Attendees made the March for Babies at the Oceanfront here Saturday, all for people who share a passion for improving the health of babies.
Family teams and company teams walked a five-mile course with friends in an effort to raise money for babies in the community and support mothers having full-term pregnancies.
According the the March of Dimes website, the funding goes toward research to find answers to the problems that threaten babies. These events have been put on since 1970 and since then, 2.3 billion dollars has been raised for 700 communities across the nation. This event is sponsored in part by WAVY TV.
