Norfolk Recreation, Parks and Open Space (RPOS) announced they’ve added new, upgraded features to Meadowbrook Park on W. Little Creek Road.

A fenced dog park is one of the new additions. Unleashed dogs, small and large, can run freely in the open space.

Children ages two to 12 can enjoy the new, shaded playground with slides and climbing features. There’s also a half basketball court for all ages to enjoy.

“These new additions provide yet another opportunity for our residents, families and dog owners to get out and play. We appreciate the input of the surrounding community as we completed the park,” said Darrell Crittendon, Director of RPOS via press release.

A ribbon-cutting ceremony will take place at the park on Dec. 15 at 11 a.m. to celebrate all the new amenities.
