May is Military Appreciation Month and there’s no place like Hampton Roads to celebrate our nation’s service men and women.

There are a lot of special events and discounts happening all month long to show appreciation for our military.

Below is a list of these specials and discounts. We’ll continue to keep it updated throughout the month.

  • Colonial Williamsburg: During Memorial Day weekend (May 26 – May 28), all active-duty military, retired, veterans, activated or drilling reservists, National Guard personnel and up to three direct dependents can get free admission.
  • Nauticus: Active duty, retired or veteran military adults with their ID can take advantage of $12 admission.
  • Norfolk Premium Outlets:  On May 5, 12 and 19 from noon to 6 p.m., guests with a valid military ID can enter to win a $100 gift card every hour at the outlets. Complimentary cookies, pinwheels and additional discounts will also be offered at the center.
  • Virginia Aquarium:  On Sundays and Mondays during the whole month, anyone that shows a valid military ID will receive 50% off their admission.
