The Downing-Gross Cultural Art Center is full of breathtaking exhibits. This Friday, Aug. 31, don’t miss out on the closing reception showcasing pieces created by a local married couple.
Out of the Classroom: The Soul of the Artist exhibit features the work of James and Alexandra Whiteside. Alex paints mostly abstracts pieces, while Jimi creates images that help him to articulate his unique point of view as an autistic artist.
The couple will raffle off a joint creation, made specifically for the closing reception. All donations made towards the raffle will go to continuing the arts programming at Downing-Gross.
The reception is this Friday at the Downing-Gross Cultural Art Center from 6 p.m. to 8 p.m. This event is free and open to the public.
