Newport News Library Hours to Change

Newport News had to cut spending for it’s 2015-16 budget, and that means some of the city’s public libraries are cutting their hours of operation — but not by much.

Starting July 1, the Grissom, Main Street and Pearl Bailey libraries will open an hour later, Monday through Saturday.

Newport News Library Hours Effective July 1, 2015:

Grissom
Monday-Thursday 10 a.m. – 9 p.m.
Friday-Saturday 10 a.m. – 6 p.m.
Sunday 1 – 5 p.m.

Main Street
Monday – Thursday 10 a.m. – 9 p.m.
Friday – Saturday 10 a.m. – 6 p.m.
Sunday 1 – 5 p.m.

Pearl Bailey
Monday – Thursday 10 a.m. – 9 p.m.
Friday – Saturday 10 a.m. – 6 p.m.
Sunday Closed

South Morrison*
Monday-Friday 10 a.m. – 6 p.m.

Public Law Library*
Monday-Friday 8 a.m. – 12 p.m., 1 – 5 p.m.

*Hours at South Morrison and Public Law Library will remain the same.
